the depths of some minds seem a cacophony of noise & light
luring folks far into their most obscure alleyways.

estranged apology.

but the belly of mind bellows out
over roaring city trains,
whining sirens,
greasy city talk,
impatient horns.

over subwoofers,
gun shots,
horrid screams.

over wailing babies,
church sermons & televised profits.

over the echoed percussion of change rattling the bottom of cups,
business calls.

over the clamour of blue & white collar urbanites
stepping over & on one another during their treks
to & from warp’s center.
